English philosopher Herbert Spencer coined the term “survival of the fittest” in an attempt to further describe and explain Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution and the process of natural selection. The theory implies that only the fittest of the fit will survive by effectively being able to adapt to their environment. In my opinion, people can only adapt to this world if they recognize and remember that they are spiritual beings having a human experience. The fittest of the fit are not always the most fascinating or even the most fierce, but they are those who earnestly have faith. Faith in themselves, faith in their dreams, faith in their determination, faith in their destiny, faith in their purpose, and most of all faith in God‘s promise. The fit are those individuals that can see beyond this world and live in that solar state. The fit adapt to the world by overcoming it, which is why they tend to be the most successful or as Spencer and Darwin would say, they survive.
Survival is defined as the state or fact of continuing to live or exist, typically in spite of an accident, ordeal, or difficult circumstances. To put the term survival into context, regard yourself as a ray of light. Rays are lines of light that radiate from a bright object and in this analogy the bright object will be referred to as God. We were all birthed from this illuminated object, the sun, our God and sent down to earth to be visual representations of the brightness that exists in the beyond. As we endure the hardship of life, some of our lights become dim because we don’t stay connected to the creator, the celestial. We then go searching for that light to be found, but the truth is we never lost it, we just forgot it. Big difference! As a result, we decrease our chances of survival because we are unplugged, unconnected and unsure of our existence. We then function as bulbs to people, instead of blessings. We adapt to the earth, but we don’t adopt the eternal and that is our true environment, at least it should be. We must work diligently to remain on the destination that was designed for us by the divine. We do so by living in spirit and not in self. Many don’t survive because they succumb. They succumb to the world, to the worry and sometimes to the wealth. To survive is to be able to keep the fire that you were born with burning. To survive is to leave that burning torch behind so another ray can pick it up. To survive is to inspire the dim to remember the realm and revisit it daily. To survive is to spread your light to the warriors and even the wanderers. To survive is to make people remember the sun even if they are living in a dark space. To survive is to leave love with everyone you encounter because you know it endures. To survive is to live in your purpose because you know it will change this planet. To survive is to live higher than your hurt. To survive is to not act as a life, but as a light. Please survive.
